No, that last girl is a garage sale train wreck. I am sorry and I am sure she is a nice girl but I saw her at Design Fiesta and I wanted to send her home with a note pinned to her shirt asking mom to please not let her dress herself anymore.

To the rest of the world: We don't all dress like this in Minneapolis!

"that last girl is adorable"

"...garage sale train wreck..."

Hello, I'm Naomi Osborn (nosborn@mcad.edu) and I think all the photography is great and Ellen is such a sweetheart. I'm also glad my photo (adorable/garage sale train wreck) is creating such a hullaballo. Kiki is completley right, not everybody dresses the same in Minneapolis and that's why this city is so great. I guess I am a "garage sale trainwreck" but unfortunatly most of my money goes towards tuition and expenses instead of clothing. That's usually how " train wrecks" happen, but I do the best I can!

As for that pin, I guess the next time I drive back to my home state I'll ask my mom to sit me down and really tell me how it is and what's important.

She is adorable and kiki sounds like a real bitch.

that first photo doesn't depict street fashion. street fashion is about innovation, and different ways of utilizing everyday clothing to create something groundbreaking. i say snooze to that first set. the second one, well all i can say is sass attack!!!!

I disagree with the last comment. I like the first set over the second girl. The girl is very cute and has personality, but doesn't show much innovation as far as the pieces she put together. However, there aren't a lot of guys in Minneapolis willing to wear what the first photo shows. They've put together some nice colors and a nice fit.

I don't just check out The Minneapoline because Ellen has a tendency to photograph my friends, but because the fashion innovation of my fellow Minneapolites is something I can point out to my NYC and LA friends and say "See?! We know what we're doing over here."

I also come to this site for impressive ideas that I can apply to my own compositions, which is why I also check out the other street fashion blogs listed here and am always flipping through an In Style or Vogue.

I guess I'm agreeing with the second anonymous comment here in that I prefer to see both creativity and deliberation featured on The Minneapoline. Ellen and Tyler do a great job of photographing stylish men and women who consider their look carefully. Keep up the good work.
