This is awful -- these are clowns who have just discovered american apparel and have yet to discover backless bras. also, what's up with sequins and bows? where's emma berg when you need yet another mn socialite/gallerina wannabe?

I don't agree this is awful... I think it's great that Minneapolis is not afraid to have some flair, especially on NYE.

that girl who only wears underware and tights as her "pants" is beyond annoying. ruins my night every time i see her out and about. duh.

wow...lots of fashion haters out there. I would much rather see these creative awesome outfits than "Pink" sweatpants and UGGS.

You must be exceptionally cool people with far more sophisticated tastes than the rest of the city. It must be hard to look at all of these eye sores.

It seems to me that the negative posters would prefer to see more and more of the same than creative uses of common articles of clothing.
Not everyone has the cash to buy new stuff, and innovating with what you've got to make something new is the heart of fashion.
I agree with Michelle - I would prefer to see this than be continue to look at the crap coming out of malls.

How do I continue to trust a news source when the author is posting him or herself as a subject?

Really?

Minneapolis provides a fantastic arena and playground for some crazy dress-up time. Keep in mind that most of the big parties in town are themed events, which gives the goers a free pass to get a little nuts. These people are dressed to dance their freaking asses off.
