I would have expected people to go a bit more crazy for punk prom. The last one horrified me a bit as I can't tell if it's supposed to be ironic or not. I guess it just didn't go quite far enough if it was supposed to be a joke (which I hope it was).
Yeah - I don't get what's so "punk" about it. The girl in the second picture looks like a miserable soccer mom at Glamour Shots. Man I'm glad I'm over irony; it's looking pretty sad these days.
I disagree. The black chiffon and tulle gown is probably the most "punk rock" dress one among the four! While the girl in the first photo is lovely she is expressing the type of "punk aesthetic" (fire engine red, Bettie Page leopard, spikes, black nail polish you could easily aquire at Hot Topic with Mommy or Daddy's Mastercard. It is the same brand of pop-punk one sees in the new breed of boy band one-hit-wonders: Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, The Killers, All American Rejects, etc.
If being "punk rock" ultimately means expressing your own unique aesthetic then really the rhinestone tiara would have to go to the girl in pink. After all, what could be more iconoclastic than wearing petal pink in a sea of dingy black?

What!? I like the second one! Especially the rose. Can't a girl get dressed up in a big poofy dress and not be ironic?

I think the girl in the red is a total hottie, I don't care where she got her clothes!
